Oni Press has partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to announce Rick and Morty Forever #0. The oversized, 48-page special marks the end of Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith’s more than 100-issue comic book run at Oni Press.
The milestone issue arrives May 27 and features writing by Daniel Kibblesmith (Loki) with art and cover by longtime franchise veteran Troy Little (Cult of the Lamb). The release will ship with a single wraparound cover, presented in silver foil and illustrated by Little.
Oni Press positions the special as a celebratory send-off for its long-running take on the sci-fi franchise.
The Story Puts Rick Under Cosmic Judgment
The issue centers on Rick Sanchez facing a unique form of punishment. The universe’s smartest man is forced to witness everything he has ever wanted to know without the power to act.
As Rick endures endless observation, he realizes that his fate may also condemn his grandson Morty. The story asks whether Rick can save the one person who stood by him through his worst decisions. It also explores whether redemption, love, or chaos will define their final outcome.
A Milestone More Than a Decade in the Making
Rick and Morty Forever #0 celebrates more than ten years of comics built around the dimension-hopping duo. The 48-page release serves as Oni Press’ final major entry in its run on the property.
Before the finale arrives, Kibblesmith teams with Jarrett Williams for Rick and Morty: The End #5 (of 5), which goes on sale April 8. That issue begins the final chapter of Rick and Morty’s turbulent mentor-student relationship.
Rick and Morty Forever #0 portals into comic shops on May 27, closing out Oni Press’ long-running series with one last oversized release.
