The bestselling action series Lost Fantasy powers forward next month as writer Curt Pires and artist Luca Casalanguida introduce a dangerous new adversary to the saga. Lost Fantasy #6 takes readers deep into the darkest corners of The World Beneath and includes another bonus story co-written by singer, songwriter, and comics writer Franklin Jonas. Image Comics releases the issue on December 31.
A First Appearance With Big Implications
The issue features a variant cover by Amilcar Pinna that spotlights a character making their first appearance in the story. Pires notes that this new figure will play a major role in future Lost Fantasy arcs and upcoming spinoffs.
“We were blown away by the retailer and reader support for issue five and the launch of the new story arc,” Pires said. “We knew we had to do something special to thank everyone. Issue six now includes a second backup co-written by Franklin Jonas that leads directly into our new Lost Fantasy spinoff launching in April. The issue also features the first appearance of a key character, so make sure you subscribe so you never miss out.”
Henry Faces a Personal Mission
After last issue’s stunning twist, Henry steps into his most personal investigation yet. His search pulls him into The World Beneath’s shadows and places him in the path of a deadly new foe. Back at Blackheart Academy, Nihlas begins to find his footing when he discovers a clue that could break the murder case wide open.
A World Built on Secrets and Monsters
Lost Fantasy follows a hidden magical world that collided with ours more than a century ago after a natural disaster created a breach. Monsters crossed into the human world, and secret monster slayers known as The Great Hunters have been working with global leaders ever since to police the border and keep the creatures at bay.
But a recent mass killing in Montana signals that something has slipped through. The shift threatens both worlds, and rookie hunter Henry Blackheart may be the only one able to stop what comes next.
Lost Fantasy #6 arrives in comic shops on Wednesday, December 31.
