Oni Press and Glitch Productions reveal the first look at Murder Drones #1, the debut issue of the six-part comic adaptation of Liam Vickers’ global phenomenon. The animated series has earned more than 330 million views on YouTube and recently expanded to Prime Video. Now it moves into comics with a new series by writer Wyatt Kennedy (Nights, Wiccan: Witches’ Road) and artist Jo Mi-Gyeong (Eve, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance).
The limited series adapts all eight episodes of the show. It is already a milestone. Its Kickstarter campaign raised $1.75 million, placing it among the highest-funded comics projects ever and breaking the record long held by BOOM! Studios’ BRZRKR.
Murder Drones #1 arrives in comic shops on February 25, 2026. Retailers get the first chance to bring the franchise to print before anyone else.
Oni Press Expands the World of Murder Drones
“Glitch Productions is one of the most innovative studios in entertainment today,” said Oni Press President and Publisher Hunter Gorinson. “They have built massive hits like Amazing Digital Circus, Murder Drones, and Knights of Guinevere. We are thrilled to expand their universe into comics with this official adaptation. The fanbase is huge and passionate. They want more Murder Drones, and they want it now. This series will bring new fans into shops the moment it hits shelves.”
A New Threat Rises on Copper 9
The story takes place on Copper 9, a dead exoplanet abandoned by humans long ago. Worker drones remain and try to keep their society alive. Their fragile peace ends when JC Jenson activates a new breed of machines. The Disassembly Drones hunt and kill any worker drone that breaks protocol.
Uzi, a rebellious worker drone, refuses to run. She teams up with two Disassembly Drones, Serial Designations N and V. Together, they search for the truth about their origins and confront a spreading mechanical virus known as the Absolute Solver.
