The hit series Friday is coming back to print in a deluxe hardcover edition. The book lands this November from Image Comics.
Writer Ed Brubaker (Criminal, Reckless, Kill or Be Killed) teams up with artist Marcos Martín (The Private Eye, Daredevil) and colorist Muntsa Vicente. Together, they created a story that earned Eisner and Harvey Awards. Now, readers can own the complete series in one volume.
The Friday Deluxe Edition collects all nine issues of the original digital series from Panel Syndicate. It also includes bonus features.
The story mixes classic mystery, teenage drama, and supernatural horror. Think Dashiell Hammett meets John Hughes with a dose of I Know What You Did Last Summer and Lovecraft.
Friday follows Friday Fitzhugh, a former kid detective. She used to solve crimes and uncover occult secrets with her best friend, Lancelot Jones—the smartest boy in the world. Now she’s in college, trying to move on. But when she returns home for the holidays, something strange pulls her back. Together, she and Lance uncover a dark mystery haunting their small New England town.
This is a chilling tale about growing up, letting go, and finding danger where you least expect it.
The Friday Deluxe Edition arrives in comic shops on Wednesday, November 12 and in bookstores on Tuesday, November 25.
