Oni Press and Archie Comics have announced the first wave of new collected editions drawn from Archie’s 85-year history. The release marks the next step in the growing partnership between the two publishers. It also aligns with the launch of Oni Press’ new line of Archie ongoing series.
The initiative begins with the all-new ARCHIE #1. The issue comes from Eisner Award-nominated writer W. Maxwell Prince (Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum, Ice Cream Man) and Eisner Award-winning creator Fábio Moon (Daytripper). From there, Oni Press will roll out a range of collected editions that span decades of Archie storytelling.
A Wide Range of Celebrated Creators
The first Archie collections under the Oni Press banner showcase work from across the publisher’s long history. The lineup features stories by an extensive list of acclaimed creators. Contributors include Mario Acquaviva, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Norm Breyfogle, Dan DeCarlo, Joe Edwards, Marty Epp, Veronica Fish, Francesco Francavilla, Robert Hack, Erica Henderson, Tom King, Paul Kupperberg, Dan Parent, Fiona Staples, Kelly Thompson, Michael Uslan, Mark Waid, Annie Wu, Chip Zdarsky, and many more.
Together, the volumes reflect the evolution of Archie Comics. They also highlight the creative voices that helped shape Riverdale across generations.
Oni Press Looks Back to Move Forward

What’s Coming First
Beginning in September 2026, Oni Press will expand its Compact Edition line with new releases focused on Archie’s popular “New Riverdale” era. These editions spotlight fan-favorite stories from one of the publisher’s most successful and widely praised modern periods. More details on specific volumes are expected soon.
