Skybound has teamed with Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing to announce DC Silver Age Covers and Stories Artist’s Edition. Mark Waid, acclaimed comics writer and historian, provides the introduction. The book offers a rare look at DC Comics artwork from the Silver Age that redefined Superman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and more. The oversized volume measures 15 by 22 inches and arrives in comic shops on November 4, 2026.
A Giant Showcase of Silver Age Classics
This Artist’s Edition presents some of DC’s finest Silver Age covers and stories. Every page appears in the original twice-up size used by artists. The collection includes interior pages from Green Lantern #1 from the 1960s. It also features complete stories of The Flash by Carmine Infantino, Superman by Al Plastino from Action Comics #282, and Sugar and Spike by Sheldon Mayer. Additional Silver Age highlights round out the volume.
Legendary Covers and Influential Moments
The book delivers more than 75 classic covers and iconic pieces. Featured creators include Jack Kirby, Joe Kubert, Carmine Infantino, Curt Swan, Alex Toth, and Nick Cardy. Highlights include the Flash #123 cover that introduced Earth-Two, illustrated by Infantino. The collection also includes the debut of Silver Age Hawkman from Brave and the Bold #34 by Kubert, the first appearance of Adam Strange from Showcase #17 by Gil Kane, and the famous Flash versus Superman race from Superman #199 by Infantino. Together, these pages capture defining moments in DC history.
