‘W0RLDTR33’ Doom Scrolls Toward A World-Ending Story Arc

The pitch-black tech-horror hit W0RLDTR33 returns this December with a new story arc from Image Comics. The series comes from Eisner Award-winning writer James Tynion IV (The Department of Truth, Exquisite Corpses), artist Fernando Blanco (Detective Comics, Catwoman), colorist Jordie Bellaire (Assorted Crisis Events), and letterer Aditya Bidikar (The One Hand/The Six Fingers).

In W0RLDTR33 #17, the stakes hit full root access. The apocalypse is uploading fast, and time is running out to kill the signal.

Ellison and the last survivors of the W0RLDTR33 crew scramble to hack the clock. Their mission: stop Angel from rebooting the internet and triggering the end of the world. The showdown leads to San Francisco. Every path traces back to the source. Every path leads to the Undernet.

“Longtime readers of W0RLDTR33 have been following the story as it branches out through the past, present day, and Fernando and Jordie’s singularly chilling vision of the future,” said Tynion IV. “With this new arc, which is going to build toward a major milestone for the series, those threads are going to begin to intertwine with potentially world-ending consequences. After all, even Gabriel Winter can’t plan for everything.”

The series follows Gabriel, Amanda, Liam, Yoshi, and Darren. They discovered the Undernet—a hidden architecture beneath the internet. They documented their findings on a private message board called W0RLDTR33. But they lost control. And unleashed unimaginable horrors.

W0RLDTR33 #17 by James Tynion IV and Fernando Blanco will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, December 17.
