Patrick Kindlon, the writer behind Gehenna and Stringer, joins forces with Harpy artist EPHK to launch Tigress Island, a five-issue limited series from Image Comics. The series hits shelves in March 2026 and aims straight for raw pulp energy. From the first page, the creative team leans into chaos, violence, and attitude.
A Prison You Do Not Escape
On Tigress Island, escape is a fantasy. A group of washed-up starlets is kidnapped, chained, and dumped into a jungle prison ruled by a cruel and calculating warden. Survival demands unity. Freedom requires violence. Meanwhile, betrayal waits around every corner, forcing the women to choose between trust and self-preservation.
Action Fueled by Attitude
As the story accelerates, Tigress Island delivers relentless action soaked in danger, double-crosses, and explosive revenge. The series rejects restraint and embraces excess. According to Kindlon, that choice is intentional. “This one is for every reader who isn’t getting enough flavor in their weekly comics haul,” he said. “From concept to characters to execution, Tigress Island is unapologetic fun. High craft. Lowbrow. Awesome.”
Channeling Cult Classics
At the same time, EPHK pushes the visuals into grindhouse territory. The artist draws directly from cult cinema of the 1980s and 1990s. “We set out to capture the soul of 80s and 90s sexploitation straight-to-video movie classics and somehow ended up with so much more,” EPHK said. “No one is ready for this!”
Tigress Island #1 arrives in comic shops and on digital platforms on Wednesday, March 11. The full five-issue series launches in March 2026 from Image Comics and promises a loud, fast, and fearless ride.
