Skybound and Image Comics have unveiled two deluxe hardcover editions collecting all eight issues of the hit series Skinbreaker. The releases arrive in full color and in black and white, both presented in oversized Treasury format to showcase every detail of the acclaimed series.
The deluxe hardcovers hit comic shops on October 7, 2026.
A Dream Team, Oversized Presentation
The editions measure an impressive 8.5 x 13.5 inches. They spotlight the work of co-creator and writer Robert Kirkman, co-creator and artist David Finch, colorist Annalisa Leoni, and letterer Rus Wooton. Readers can choose between lush full color or striking black and white, each offering a distinct way to experience Finch’s art.
Creators Reflect on the Release
“Skinbreaker is a project near and dear to my heart,” said Kirkman. “I’m so proud of the series David and I were able to create together, and I think the massive presentation of these two hardcover editions is the perfect way to experience the series. In full color you’ll see all the masterful details of the art with the lush colors added by Annalisa Leoni. In black and white you’ll see David’s stunning inkwork on full display. I don’t think fans can really prepare themselves for how stunning this book looks in black and white. It’ll definitely be a hard choice to make this November!”
Finch echoed the excitement. “So much time and effort were put into this series,” he said. “To know that fans will get to see all that hard work in these stunning hardcover collections really makes it all worthwhile. I can’t wait to hold these books in my hands.”
Inside the World of Skinbreaker
The story follows Enor, a long-serving chieftain whose reign is nearing its end. He wields the legendary Skinbreaker, but age has taken its toll. His reluctant heir, Anok, must decide whether to step forward before their world collapses. As a violent power struggle ignites, a far greater threat looms beyond the village walls.
“David Finch and Robert Kirkman’s Skinbreaker is exhilarating, heartbreaking, and timeless,” said Sean Mackiewicz, SVP and Publisher at Skybound. “Only a hardcover this size could hope to contain the most incredible art you’ve seen in your life. No one else makes comics like this.”
