Matt Kindt Launches A Wild New MIND MGMT Arc

Mind MGMT

Oni Press and Flux House are opening a new chapter in Matt Kindt’s acclaimed MIND MGMT universe. The multiple Eisner and Harvey Award-winning publisher will release MIND MGMT: NEW & IMPROVED #5 this November, giving readers a new jumping-on point for the series.

The issue begins the second arc of MIND MGMT: NEW & IMPROVED, the first series released under Kindt’s acclaimed Flux House banner at Oni Press. It also marks the New York Times bestselling cartoonist and multiple Eisner Award nominee’s first ongoing return to MIND MGMT since the original series ended in 2015.

A New Mission for Swon and Delphi

The new arc pushes Detectives Swon and Delphi deeper into a world of paranoia, psychological subterfuge, and sabotage by subversion. Together, the pair believe they can handle almost anything, but Mind Management may have other plans.

Their professional bond and unusual abilities will face new pressure. Swon’s feelings for his partner begin to deepen, while Delphi experiences the full cognitive shock of another operative’s tragic mission gone wrong.

Swon’s extrasensory cognition might seem like the perfect advantage. Even the ability to see what comes next, however, may not be enough to stop what is already in motion.

Matt Kindt Calls Issue #5 His Most Complicated Comic Yet

Kindt says the second arc begins with one of the most ambitious issues he has ever created. He also promises readers something far outside the ordinary.

“MIND MGMT: NEW & IMPROVED #5 is the most complicated thing I’ve ever written in my life, but we’re not charging extra — even though we should — because it’s so complicated,” said creator Matt Kindt. “This issue kicks off the second arc and is hands-down the most insane 30-pages of comic I’ve ever written or drawn.”

Kindt Handles Every Part of the Page

Kindt remains in full creative control of the series. He writes, draws, inks, colors, letters, and designs MIND MGMT: NEW & IMPROVED himself.

Known for work including BRZRKR and Dept. H, Kindt continues expanding the strange and psychologically charged world that made MIND MGMT one of his signature creations. MIND MGMT: NEW & IMPROVED #5 arrives this November as the series begins its next major arc.
