Skybound and Image Comics have announced that comics icon Arthur Adams will return to interior artwork with Terminal #6. The issue also marks Adams’ interior art debut on the blockbuster superhero series.
Terminal comes from a powerhouse creative team that includes Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead), Joe Casey (Uncanny X-Men, Wildcats), Andy Kubert (X-Men, Batman), David Finch (Ultimate X-Men, Batman), and Adams (X-Men). The creators have each made major contributions to superhero comics throughout their careers.
Arthur Adams Steps Inside ‘Terminal’
Adams joins the interior creative lineup as Terminal #6 arrives in comic book shops on December 23, 2026. His arrival comes as the series pushes its superhuman conflict into increasingly dangerous territory.
The new issue will dig deeper into one of the story’s biggest mysteries: the secret of the Obelisk. It will also reveal a hidden cost behind the ongoing superhuman war, with Skybound promising developments that could change how readers view the entire series.
“Living legend Arthur Adams has drawn an issue of Terminal! Well, technically that makes TWO issues if you count our secret blind bag issue!” said Alex Antone, Editorial Director at Skybound. “Don’t miss the massive revelations that take place in this issue, including a reveal that reframes the entire series! And wait, is that FRANK QUITELY doing a cover?? You do not want to miss this one!”
A Major Cover Lineup
Terminal #6 will feature a wide selection of covers from some of the industry’s best-known artists. Arthur Adams and Dave McCaig provide the main cover, while David Finch and McCaig, along with Andy Kubert and McCaig, contribute open-to-order covers.
Frank Quitely will also make his Terminal cover debut with an open-to-order variant. The lineup continues with a 1:25 incentive variant by Ben Oliver, a 1:50 variant by Jae Lee and June Chung, and a 1:100 variant by Whilce Portacio and Dean White.
A Superhero Series Built on Surprises
Designed for fans of Invincible and acclaimed eras of X-Men, Terminal delivers a violent and unpredictable take on superhero storytelling. The series brings together Kirkman, Casey, Kubert, Adams, and Finch, creators who have each helped shape superhero comics in their own way.
Their combined experience drives a story built around escalating conflicts and unexpected turns. The series also features inker Sandra Hope (Flashpoint), colorist Dave McCaig (The Walking Dead Deluxe), and letterer Rus Wooton (Transformers).
That creative team continues to expand the world of Terminal while setting up new mysteries and revelations. With Adams now contributing interior artwork, the sixth issue adds another major creator to the series’ growing roster.
Terminal #6 will be available at comic book shops and on digital platforms on Wednesday, December 23, 2026. The issue continues the series’ superhuman war while revealing more about the Obelisk and the consequences surrounding the conflict.
