Crunchyroll Brings ‘Solo Leveling’ And More Anime To Delta Flights

Solo Leveling

Starting next month, Delta Air Lines passengers can stream Solo Leveling during their flights. The dark fantasy hit from A-1 Pictures joins Crunchyroll’s new in-flight content lineup. The partnership lets Delta customers watch top anime titles at 30,000 feet.

Popular Series Join Delta Sync

Crunchyroll and Delta are adding five anime favorites to the “Delta Sync Seatback” system. SkyMiles members can watch select episodes of Solo Leveling, Black Clover, My Roommate Is a Cat, Fruits Basket, and Horimiya.
The rollout begins in early November. It will reach over 165,000 screens on more than 940 aircraft.

‘Solo Leveling’ Expands Its Reach

Produced by A-1 Pictures and Aniplex, Solo Leveling exploded in popularity after its Winter 2024 premiere. The series is based on Chugong’s hit web novel. It follows Jinwoo Sung, once known as the world’s weakest hunter, who discovers a mysterious program that makes him stronger with every battle.
The anime’s sharp animation and fast-paced action earned it the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Award for Anime of the Year.

Delta Embraces Anime Storytelling

“Every Delta flight is an opportunity to discover something new,” says Sarah Downs, Managing Director of In-Flight Entertainment Engagement & Optimization. “Anime is full of emotion and storytelling. Crunchyroll brings that to life in a way that’s perfect for travel. This partnership reflects Delta’s goal to deliver entertainment as diverse as our customers.”

Entertainment Beyond the Seatback

The collaboration doesn’t stop at the screen in front of passengers. Travelers can also access Crunchyroll through the Delta Sync Wi-Fi system. SkyMiles members get a 24-hour free trial of Crunchyroll Premium. The offer includes over 25,000 hours of anime across 2,000 titles. Fans can keep watching even after they land.

“With anime’s power to transport viewers to new worlds, we’re excited to connect travelers to the stories they love,” says Terry Li, EVP of Emerging Business at Crunchyroll.
