The zombies are back. Image Comics is unleashing the complete ’68 Compendium this October—just in time for Halloween. Created by Mark Kidwell, Nat Jones, and Jay Fotos, this massive paperback collects all 30 issues of jungle-soaked, blood-drenched horror.
The story begins on February 13, 1968. In the middle of the Vietnam War, the gates of Hell open. The dead rise, hungry for life. It’s Junkyard Joe meets The Walking Dead in a brutal military-horror mashup.
The compendium includes everything. From the original ’68 one-shot to the first four-issue miniseries. From the debut of the fan-favorite “Jungle Jim” to every short story and backup. Every issue is here in full, gruesome color.
Fans can dig into the carnage, bunker down, and relive every jaw-snapping, flesh-ripping page.
“It’s been a long time coming,” said Fotos. “I’m very excited to get this compendium out to the world!”
Kidwell added: “It’s great to see ’68 rise again, in all its gory glory, collected into one massive volume! Perfect Halloween read!”
’68 Compendium paperback will be available at local comic book shops on Wednesday, October 8 and bookstores and digital platforms on Tuesday, October 21.
