Fan-favorite writer Doug Wagner is teaming with rising artist Hoyt Silva for Yumi: 00EX, a new action thriller from Image Comics.
Wagner, known for Narco, Plastic, and I Was A Fashion School Serial Killer, joins Silva for the four-issue miniseries. Image Comics will launch the series in August.
A Spy Story With Serious Firepower
The story follows Yumi after her MI6 boyfriend disappears. She does not wait for answers. She storms the agency, hacks its network, takes down its operatives, and sets everything on fire.
Inside MI6, Yumi finds her first ally. It is a fully AI Lamborghini built less like a car and more like a Weapon of Mass Destruction.
Yumi is in love. Yumi is lethal.
Variant Covers Add More Star Power
The series will also feature variant covers by Mirka Andolfo, known for Sweet Paprika, and up-and-comer Nicoletta Baldari.

“Part The Kingsman, part K-Pop Demon Hunters, all attitude,” Wagner said in an exclusive scoop on the announcement at Popverse. “We even tossed in an AI Lamborghini sidekick that’s built like a WMD, because with Hoyt and I involved, subtlety never really had a chance.”
Yumi: 00EX #1 arrives at comic book shops and digital platforms on Wednesday, August 12.
