Dynamite Entertainment is keeping the spirit of Halloween alive this winter with the Vampirella Winter Special, hitting shelves in January. The 28-page one-shot, titled “Young Blood,” reunites the rising creative team of writer Liam Johnson and artist Jordan Michael Johnson for another high-energy adventure starring the Daughter of Drakulon.
A Deadly Hunt in New York City
The story opens with Vampirella soaring over the rooftops of New York when she’s ambushed by a storm of tranquilizer darts. Captured by a mysterious billionaire obsessed with eternal youth, she soon discovers his dark plan: to harvest her supernatural blood for his own twisted pursuit of beauty and immortality.
Trapped deep underground, Vampirella must fight her way through waves of armed guards and feral, enslaved vampires before facing her captor in a final showdown. But when the battle ends, one question remains—has he merely stolen her vitality, or unleashed something far worse?
Creators Raise the Stakes
“It’s such an honor and a privilege to be back playing in Vampi’s world,” said writer Liam Johnson. “This time around, Jordan and I really wanted to crank up the action and let Vampirella kick some butt. Let’s make her someone’s prey before she shows the world what a dangerous predator she can really be!”
The Johnson duo, unrelated to each other or any corporations, previously teamed up for Vampirella Halloween Horror.Their return promises another pulse-pounding chapter in the vampire heroine’s saga.
