The trading cards featured in this set and campaign collect a wide range of visions of everyone’s favorite characters. The Hasbro vaults have been opened, with the set’s designers and curators pulling classic artwork and representing an international crop of top artists. The focus of this set is on the original, iconic “Generation 1” era and continuity of the franchise. This includes the biggest beloved characters across both Autobots and Decepticons, such as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream, Ironhide, Soundwave, and other classics.
The Kickstarter offers two unique approaches to the trading cards, across the Traditional Collector’s Series and the Deluxe Ultra-Premium Series.
The former is more in line with what fans may traditionally remember from many classic trading card sets. Packs from this series feature 10 cards each. These can be comprised of 110 base cards, 110 holofoil parallel cards, and special chase subsets including cards signed by legends Bob Budiansky and Simon Furman, and hundreds of individually drawn sketch cards.
Packs from the Deluxe Ultra-Premium series include 7 cards each, and the packs are also in special exclusive mini-boxes. These special packs loaded with rare collectible cards are guaranteed two base cards, two sketch cards, one line art card, one signed creator card, and one connecting card.
