Oni Press and Glitch Productions will release MURDER DRONES: HOME SPECIAL #1, a double-sized, 40-page one-shot. The issue adapts the striking origin episode from Murder Drones creator Liam Vickers and expands the hit limited comic series with a pivotal, standalone chapter set on Copper 9.
A Focused Story With Real Consequences
Writer Wyatt Kennedy (Nights, Marvel United) teams with Bram Stoker Award-winning artist Soo Lee (Camilla: The Last Vampire) to deliver a dark, emotional chapter. Their story dives into buried memories and reveals truths that reshape what readers know about this world.
“Murder Drones Episode 5, ‘Home,’ plays a crucial role in the larger story,” said Oni Press Editor-in-Chief Sierra Hahn. “It shows who the Disassembly Drones were and introduces the Solver through N’s suppressed memories. The story explores memory itself. It confronts the fear of losing memories and forgetting those closest to you. This episode deserves full focus, and a standalone comic gives it that space.”
Secrets Hidden in N’s Mind
The special lands between issues #4 and #5 of the main Murder Drones series. Kennedy and Lee depict haunting scenes from before Copper 9’s surface world collapsed. Those visions remain locked inside Serial Designation N’s innocent-looking mind.
The story raises dangerous questions. Can the secrets of N’s former human family, the Elliots, help Uzi and her allies stop the Absolute Solver virus? Or will those memories unleash something far more dangerous?
MURDER DRONES: HOME SPECIAL #1 arrives in comic shops on May 13. The issue features covers by Soo Lee (Disney’s Maleficent), Alessio Zonno (I Heart Skullcrusher), and Jo Mi-Gyeong (Eve).
The main series resumes two weeks later. MURDER DRONES #4 (of 6) hits stores on May 27.
