Mattel is bringing two major doll brands together for the first time. Monster High and American Girl have teamed up for a limited-edition crossover starring Frankie Stein.
The collaboration transforms the Monster High character into an 18-inch American Girl doll. Only 6,000 dolls will be available in stores and online starting Sept. 1.
Frankie Stein Gets the American Girl Treatment
Frankie Stein, the electrifying daughter of Frankenstein’s monster and his bride, takes center stage in the collaboration. Designed for fans ages 8 and up, the doll recreates the character in American Girl’s signature style and arrives in co-branded packaging.
The doll keeps many of Frankie’s recognizable features while adapting them to the American Girl format. Her black-and-white streaked hair falls over her shoulders, while silver-plated bolts appear on her neck.
A Fashion Look Inspired by Monster High
Frankie wears a black-and-blue plaid dress with sparkly puff sleeves and a mesh underskirt. A satin polka-dot tie completes the main outfit.
Her signature look continues with purple eye makeup, a red manicure, and green skin detailed with stitched-together accents. Striped Mary Janes, dangly blue earrings, and a studded vinyl belt with silver chains add more Monster High style.
Frankie also carries a quilted skullette purse. The accessory completes the crossover design and ties the American Girl release back to the Monster High aesthetic.
Limited Release Starts Sept. 1
The Monster High Frankie Stein Doll by American Girl will be available in stores and online beginning Sept. 1. The limited release will include just 6,000 dolls.
