The LEGO Group has revealed the LEGO Icons SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom building set. It marks the first SpongeBob SquarePants set created for adult builders.
LEGO developed the set in partnership with Paramount Products & Experiences. The design features familiar locations, characters, and references from the long-running animated series.
Bikini Bottom Comes to Life
The 1,794-piece set recreates three of Bikini Bottom’s most recognizable homes. Builders can assemble SpongeBob’s pineapple house, Squidward’s Easter Island-inspired residence, and Patrick’s rock.
A Jellyfish Fields scene completes the display. The setting expands the build beyond the characters’ neighborhood and adds another familiar location from the series.
Detailed Interiors and Accessories
Each residence features a detailed interior. SpongeBob’s home includes a furnished living room and bedroom, while Squidward’s house recreates his living space.
Patrick’s rock also opens to reveal an interior beneath the exterior. Additional details include the boatmobile, Squidward’s clarinet, and a portrait of Gary.
Familiar Characters Join the Set
The set includes Minifigure versions of SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward. Gary the Snail and DoodleBob appear as brick-built characters.
The collection brings together several fan-favorite characters in one display. Each figure complements the locations and references included throughout the build.
The LEGO Icons SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom building set is available for preorder now. It will be available for immediate purchase beginning Sept. 1.
The release information also references a 72-piece set designed for builders ages 10 and older. That set includes SpongeBob carrying his jellyfishing net.
