G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero #325 marks a major anniversary for the long-running series. It arrives in comic shops on February 11, 2026.
The milestone chapter comes from legendary writer Larry Hama, with art by Chris Mooneyham, colors by Francesco Segala, and lettering by Pat Brosseau.
Two New Joes Enter the Fight
G.I. JOE Issue #325 introduces two brand-new Joes making their first appearance. Duke and Roadblock lead a dangerous covert mission into Borovia, where the new recruits step onto the battlefield.
“Larry Hama and Chris Mooneyham launched G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero #301 at Skybound over two years ago,” said Skybound Editorial Director Alex Antone. “For our milestone 325th issue, they’re thrilled to introduce two brand-new Joes, DOWNRANGE and R.C.”
Larry Hama on Modern Warfare
Hama says the new characters reflect how warfare has changed.
“The real battle in warfare is technological and tactical,” Hama said. “Recent advances and innovations have made the old way untenable, so I felt compelled to create two new Joes to counter these deficiencies.”
R.C., file name Hector M. Salazar, is the team’s new drone operator. He hails from Boyle Heights in East Los Angeles and specializes in unmanned aircraft and land robotics.
DOWNRANGE, file name Hillevi S. Väisänen, serves as the scout sniper. She is the daughter of a legendary hunting guide from Red Wing, Minnesota. According to her file, she can split a Popsicle stick at 200 yards using iron sights on a National Match M-21 in 7.62 NATO.
Covers and Variants
The issue features a main cover by Andy Kubert with colors by Laura Martin. Additional variants include a black-and-white version of the main cover, a 1:10 incentive Gears of Joe cover by Steve Beach, and an anniversary wraparound cover by Rod Whigham with colors by Mike Spicer.
Also included are an open-to-order variant by Chris Mooneyham spotlighting the new Joes and a first-of-its-kind blank sketch file card cover.
Part of a Bigger Universe
G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero remains a cornerstone of the ongoing collaboration between Skybound and Hasbro. The partnership also includes the Energon Universe, with titles such as Void Rivals, TRANSFORMERS, and the ongoing G.I. JOE series.
With new characters, expanded lore, and a deep bench of top-tier creators, issue #325 signals that the mission is far from over.
