Skybound and Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing announced that George Pérez’s The New Teen Titans Artist’s Edition will arrive in stores in June 2026. The release brings one of DC’s most important comic series to the award-winning Artist’s Edition format.
This volume continues a multi-book deal with DC. It offers fans a rare look at how the Teen Titans came to life. The oversized hardcover (12” x 17”) includes Pérez’s original artwork, from covers to select pages spanning issues #1–40. Marv Wolfman, Pérez’s longtime collaborator and co-creator of The New Teen Titans, provides a heartfelt introduction.
“George Pérez’s work struck a chord with fans. His craftsmanship and beautiful imagery showed, to me, his true love of drawing–you could feel the care he put into his art,” said Scott Dunbier. “George’s work is long overdue for an Artist’s Edition and I’m happy it is finally happening.”
The New Teen Titans made history when Wolfman and Pérez launched the series in 1980. The team—Robin, Starfire, Wonder Girl, Raven, Kid Flash, Cyborg, and Beast Boy—captured readers’ imaginations. The book became a hit that rivaled even Marvel’s X-Men.

An Artist’s Edition is not a typical comic collection. The art is scanned in color, though it looks black and white at first glance. This approach preserves every nuance of the original art—ink gradients, blue pencil marks, and unique details—printed at the same size as Pérez’s drawings. The only closer experience would be standing at the artist’s board while he worked.
The New Teen Titans Artist’s Edition joins other high-profile releases from the Skybound and Act 4 partnership. Coming in late 2025 is Jim Aparo’s DC Classics Artist’s Edition. Throughout 2026, fans can expect The Amazing Spider-Man by Steve Ditko Artist’s Edition, Darwyn Cooke’s The Complete Spirit Connoisseur Edition, Wally Wood’s EC Stories Artist’s Edition – EXPANDED, and Mike Mignola’s Hellboy in Hell Book 2 Artist’s Edition.
Future titles will include J. Scott Campbell’s Danger Girl Artist Edition, Dave Stevens’ Covers and Stories Connoisseur Edition, Jason Pearson’s Body Bags Artist’s Edition, and Paul Smith’s Leave It to Chance Artist’s Edition. Publishing details for these will be announced later.
George Pérez’s The New Teen Titans Artist’s Edition will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, and at booksellers on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
