
FX has officially renewed Alien: Earth for a second season. The network also announced that creator Noah Hawley has signed a new overall deal with FX and Disney Entertainment Television.
FX chairman John Landgraf praised Hawley’s creative vision, calling him “extraordinary.”
“It has been our great privilege to work with Noah for more than a decade on some of FX’s best and biggest shows,” Landgraf said. “He never stops surprising us with truly original stories, and his ability to bring them to vibrant life as a writer, director, and producer makes him exceptional. We can’t wait to get to work on the next season of Alien: Earthand other projects in development.”
A Bold Expansion of the “Alien” Franchise
Alien: Earth extends the iconic Alien film series into television. The show premiered on FX in August to strong reviews from critics and audiences.
The ensemble cast features Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El.
The Season 1 logline reads: “When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.”
Hawley on the Next Chapter
Hawley expressed excitement about continuing his collaboration with FX and Disney.
