Gen V has officially ended. Prime Video canceled the college-set superhero drama after two seasons. The show wrapped its run with a final season that concluded in October 2025.
The series followed students with powers at Godolkin University and expanded the world of The Boys.
Franchise Moves Forward
The cancellation comes as The Boys pushes through its final season on Prime Video. Amazon continues to build out the franchise with new projects already in motion.
The prequel Vought Rising is set to debut in 2027. Another spinoff, The Boys: Mexico, remains in development.
Characters Shift Into The Boys
The story does not end for Gen V’s characters. Several will appear in the final episodes of The Boys. The transition fits the narrative. The Gen V finale showed key characters joining the resistance against Vought and Homelander, played by Antony Starr.
Executive producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg confirmed the plan in a statement.
“While we wish we could keep the party going another season at Godolkin, we’re committed to continuing the Gen V characters’ stories in The Boys season five and other VCU projects on the horizon. You’ll see them again.”
Season two starred Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Hamish Linklater.
The series closes its run as the franchise shifts focus to its next chapter.
