Fox has cancelled Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse.” The cult favorite starring Eliza Dushku as a DNA-altered woman who gets implanted false memories for various missions and tasks.defied the odds by being renewed for a second season despite low ratings, but continuing low ratings sealed its fate.
The sci-fi series, which is filming episode 11, is expected to finish its 13-episode order. Whedon is said to be on board and plans to give the show a proper ending with a big finale.
Fans of Joss Whedon’s work launched a save the show campaign before the first episode aired, fearing that the show would suffer the same fate as Whedon’s previous show “Firefly,” which was shown out of order and preempted by baseball before it could gain traction.
