Image Comics will release White Sky, Vol. 1 this fall, collecting the opening arc of the ongoing apocalyptic series. The trade paperback brings together issues #1-6.
The series comes from longtime comic book and video game writer William Harms, whose credits include the two-time BAFTA-nominated Mafia III and International Horror Guild Award finalist Impaler. Harms is joined by fan-favorite artist J.P. Mavinga and colorist Lee Loughridge, known for Standstill.
A Journey Across a Broken America
White Sky begins five years after the sky turned white and the world ended. Violet and her father, David, have survived by staying hidden, but that safety does not last.
The pair are driven from their refuge and forced to cross what remains of America. Their destination is the shattered ruins of San Francisco, where they pursue a rumor that a safe haven may still exist.
Their journey takes them through a world haunted by the dead. For the living, every step brings another threat and nowhere is truly safe.
Survival Horror on an Epic Scale
The series blends apocalyptic survival, horror, and a dangerous cross-country journey. It is aimed at readers who enjoy stories such as The Last of Us, The Walking Dead, and 28 Days Later.
White Sky, Vol. 1 collects the first six issues and establishes the world, its survivors, and the dangers that now define their lives. The volume serves as the opening chapter of the ongoing series.
White Sky, Vol. 1 will be available at comic book shops and on digital platforms on Wednesday, October 28. The trade paperback will arrive at bookstores on Tuesday, November 24.
