Rob Liefeld is returning to the world of Youngblood with a new spinoff series. The legendary creator teams with artist Seth Damoose to launch Badrock this July from Image Comics.
The action-focused series centers on one of Youngblood’s most popular characters. It marks Badrock’s first major solo spotlight in years.
A Personal Mission Raises the Stakes
The story pushes Badrock into unfamiliar territory. After countless battles to save the world, he now faces something far more personal.
“After saving our county, our planet and even, our dimension, Badrock is tasked with saving his most important mission, saving his MOM!” said Rob Liefeld. “It’s a tall order as he must overcome a gauntlet of villainy and manipulation that he had never encountered! It’s a personal journey with an emotional core that pushes Badrock as he has never been pressed before! I’ve been a huge fan of Seth Damoose and started him drawing this new stage of Badrock’s journey last summer. His style and storytelling are fantastic! I’m so excited for everyone to see Seth’s amazing work!”
When Badrock’s mother is abducted, he is forced to follow the demands of her mysterious captors. The mission becomes a test of strength, control, and resilience.
Creative Team and Visual Style
Seth Damoose brings his dynamic storytelling to the series. Known for Tales of Mr. Rhee and Savant, he delivers a style built for high-impact action.
The series also features variant covers by Liefeld, Damoose, and Brett Bean, known for D’orc and Dungeon Crawler Carl: Crocodile.
Badrock #1 hits comic shops and digital platforms on Wednesday, July 15.
