Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics, in partnership with Universal Products & Experiences, announced Universal Monsters: The Mummy, a new four-issue limited comic book series from Eisner Award winner and New York Times bestselling comics creator Faith Erin Hicks (Pumpkinheads, The Nameless City Trilogy). Resurrecting one of the most iconic monsters of all time, Hicks’ stunning new take on The Mummy will hit comic book shops beginning in March 2025.
Superstar writer/artist Faith Erin Hicks teams up with colorist Lee Loughridge (Standstill) to present a bold new vision of the iconic Universal Monster, bringing The Mummy to life like never before in this limited series.

Universal Monsters: The Mummy is the fourth Universal Monsters series launch, following James Tynion IV and Martin Simmonds’ Dracula (which netted Simmonds a BEST PAINTER/MULTIMEDIA ARTIST (INTERIOR ART) Eisner Award nomination); Ram V, Dan Watters, and Matthew Roberts’ Creature from the Black Lagoon Lives!; and Michael Walsh’s Frankenstein.
The Mummy will be followed by additional new limited series pairing the biggest names in comics with pop culture’s most iconic monsters.
Universal Monsters: The Mummy #1 (of 4) will be available at comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
