Tom Cruise’s attempted comeback failed critically and financially as the much panned “Knight and Day,” failed to beat “Toy Story 3” or “Grown Ups” despite an early Wednesday opening. “Toy Story 3” maintained its hold on the top spot, while new release “Grown Ups” took second.
