After 15 years of directing nothing, former Monty Python Terry Jones will be back in the director’s chair to do Absolutely Nothing for Phoenix Pictures, according to Deadline.
Absolutely Nothing, naturally, is a comedy that involves “aliens, a goofy Brit, a talking dog and buckets of silliness” and has been written by Jones and Gavin Scott. John Oliver, correspondent for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, is set to star. Jones is now in discussions with Robin William to play Dennis the Dog. Also, Jones has also put invites to all his Python brethren (John Cleese, Michael Palin, Eric Idle and Terry Gilliam) to voice assorted aliens in the film.
Though it seems that absolutely nothing is already happening.. the film Absolutely Nothing will begin production next spring. Stay tuned to when more of Nothing happens here…
