Jason Segel To Star With the Muppets

According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog, Jason Segel is set to star alongside with the Muppets in the upcoming film The Greatest Movie Movie Ever Made.  Considering Segel co-wrote the new film with Nicholas Stoller, we can’t say we didn’t see this coming.

Although the plot is under wraps, it seems that Segel will play a man who must find and reunite the Muppets to save the old TV studio where The Muppet Show was filmed after a villain threatens to demolish it.

Jason Segel has been very involved with the development of this film, and will be producing alongside Daivd Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films/TV.  James Bobin (Flight of the Conchords) is set to direct.

Unlike most of his felt and furry co-stars in the film,  maybe he’ll keep his pants on this time around…
