Indira Varma Joins Human Target

The Fox TV show Human Target is adding British actress Indira Varma as a female lead for the second season of the series, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Varma has been seen as Niobe in HBO’s Rome, as well as Suzie Costello in BBC’s Torchwood and Booth’s UK counterpart in an episode of Bones.

In Human Target, Varma will be playing Ilsa, a woman who is “sophisticated, driven and principled”  and will be clearly in charge of the team lead by Christopher Chance (played by Mark Valley). She is “is witty, sexy, clearly in charge and doesn’t take any nonsense from anyone. Chance has met his match.”

Human Target is set to return for another 13 episodes on  Fox starting September 24.
