The two hour Smallville movie “Absolute Justice” brought Smallville to its highest ratings of the season. The movie introduced aspects of the DC universe new to Smallville including a reborn Justice Society, the Suicide Squad, Amanda Waller, Checkmate, and the return of The Martian Manhunter.
The well-received movie not only set up new subplots and introduced new characters to the Smallville continuum, it provided a bevy of possibilities for the long-rumored Smallville spinoff.
