FEARnet Gets On Board for ‘Tom Holland’s Twisted Tales’

Tom Holland's Twinsted TalesFEARnet, cable television’s premier horror, thriller and suspense channel, today announced it has made a deal with Dead Rabbit Films to acquire the domestic rights to “Tom Holland’s Twisted Tales,” a brand new anthology series.  Ten episodes of the series of short films, written and directed by Tom Holland (the master of horror behind legendary scares including “Fright Night,” “Child’s Play,” and the adaptations of Stephen King’s “Thinner,” and “The Langoliers”) will be made available on FEARnet.com in July 2012.  Dead Rabbit Films is the imprint owned by Holland and his partner David Chackler (co-producer of “John Carpenter’s Village of The Damned,” and executive producer of “Original Gangstas”), who will also executive produce the series.

In the great tradition of anthology shows, such as “The Twilight Zone,” “Outer Limits,” and others, comes these new thrilling tales from Holland, who previously wrote and directed some of the most memorable episodes of “Tales From the Crypt” as well as “Amazing Stories.”  Each segment of the series guarantees to hold audiences spellbound until the very twisted end.

Episodes will boast an impressive list of “who’s who” talent from the horror genre, including William Forsythe (“The Devil’s Rejects,” “Raising Arizona,” “The Rock”), Danielle Harris (Rob Zombie’s “Halloween,” “The Last Boy Scout”), AJ Bowen (“Hatchet 2,” “House of the Devil,” “The Signal”), andBonnie Piesse (“Star Wars: Episodes II and III”).  More big name stars and exciting cameos for the series will be announced in the near future.

“FEARnet features so many of Tom Holland’s classic movies on our channel, and this series gives us an opportunity to showcase his talent to our loyal online community,” said Peter Block, president, FEARnet.  “It’s completely twisted, and will bring genre fans a great mixture of the talent they love, and unnerving stories that will leave them glued to their seats until the end.”
