I_Am_Number_Four_CastDianna Agron, who plays Quinn Fabray on the hit TV show Glee, has landed the female lead in DJ Caruso’s I Am Number Four, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film follows a group of nine aliens who have escaped their home world before a rival species destroyed their planet.  They find refuge here on earth and pose as high school students, only to find they are still being hunted by their enemies.

Agron’s character is dating a high school jock, but falls for the title character Number Four (played by Alex Pettyfer) and becomes his confidante.  Agron joins other cast members Sharlto Copley, who will be playing Four’s mentor and guardian, and Teresa Palmer as Number Six, another of the alien group.

I Am Number Four is based on the book of the same name to be published this fall by James Frey and Jobie Hughes. Director Caruso is working from a script by Al Gough and Miles Millar with Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay producing.  The film is set to hit theaters February 18, 2011.
