A trailer for Martin Scorsese’s Hugo, has just been released.
Shot in 3D, the film, now just called Hugo, is based on Brian Selznick’s best-selling novel “The Invention of Hugo Cabret. ” It follows the title character of Hugo (played by Asa Butterfield), an orphan living within the walls of a Paris train station who “encounters a broken machine, an eccentric girl and a cold, reserved man who runs a toy shop, he is caught up in a magical, mysterious adventure that could put all of his secrets in jeopardy.”
With an all-star cast that includes Chloe Moertz as Isabelle, Ben Kingsley as Papa Georges, Sacha Baron Cohen as the Train Inspector, Jude Law as Hugo’s father, Christopher Lee, Ray Winstone, Helen McCrory, Frances de la Tour, and Richard Griffiths, this is the first time Martin Scorsese has directing a family friendly film and also his first time working in 3D. If the film is as magical as this trailer, this will be a treat for everyone.
Hugo opens in theaters on November 23, in 3D.
