Panelfly Teams With USA Network to Create Immersive Fan Experience for Burn Notice

Panelfly in partnership with USA Network, announces its first cross-platform, multi-media fan comic book built around the hit TV series BURN NOTICE. Transcending the traditional two-dimension comic book experience, Panelfly’s platform brings A New Day to life for fans by supporting interactive games, hidden ciphers, artwork “peelaways” and more. Panelfly has developed A New Day as an iOS and Android application available on select mobile devices.

“We are very excited to work with USA on the debut of A New Day as the number one cable channel’s series BURN NOTICE is a perfect fit for content and storyline expansion via an interactive digital comic book,” said Ed Lang, CEO of Panelfly. “Our team has worked very closely with USA and their other partners to deliver something truly special for BURN NOTICE fans. Our passion for delivering immersive fan experiences is highlighted with this launch, and we look forward to building on its success.”

A New Day, the first-ever multi-platform interactive comic book, gives fans exclusive insight into the series’ time jump. Panelfly’s platform architecture and unique transmedia storytelling approach creates the perfect solution. It integrates new forms of media and content, introduces new storylines, and creatively produces new ways for the shows creators and BURN NOTICE fans to engage in the story line. Written by the creative team behind the show, the innovative series bridges the gap between seasons four and five, and promises to connect fans as never before.

“Together, we’ve created a dynamic, fun and truly interactive experience that delivers an unprecedented level of engagement for BURN NOTICE fans,” said Jesse Redniss, vice president of digital, USA. “USA is pushing technological boundaries, enabling us to deliver fan experiences that further enhance the weekly episode, and expand the story arc into exciting new arenas.”

The platform enables interactive games, ciphers and advice from friendly spymasters for each of the 12 issues
A unique UX and proprietary authoring tools enables “peelaways” revealing the multiple steps of the art process including pencil, ink and color layers
Platform architecture and API integration technology provides the ability to place exclusive video, preview clips, character bios, and interviews allowing content creators to engage fans in new ways and for fans to easily discover and interact
Easy integration of relevant show social feeds including Burn Wire , an RSS news feed, and other show related Facebook and Twitter feeds
Aggregation and integration of external social feeds and solutions creating real time connections to BURN NOTICE Chatter and other forums
