Warner Bros.’ Green Lantern may have won the box office race with a $52.7 million debut, but the 3D superhero pic fell steeply on Saturday, dashing the studio’s hopes for a launch upwards of $55 million. It’s promising Friday launch was cut short by bad word-of-mouth which kept audiences home for the Father’s Day weekend.
