Deleted ‘Superman Returns’ Scene Hits Web

The deleted opening scene of 2006’s ‘Superman Returns’ has hit the web. Provided as a deleted scene extra on the Superman Anthology Blu-Ray release in June, the dark, slow segment has Kal-El (Routh) traveling back to his home planet of Krypton in a star-shaped ship, reminiscent of the ship that SUperman arrived in as a baby in ‘Superman: The Movie.’

The five-minute sequence cost an estimated $10 million and hinted at where Bryan Singer had intended to take the character.
