Colin Farrell Bites it in Fright Night Remake

Fright_Night_castDreamworks’ remake of the 1985 cult classic, Fright Night, has just added two names to its cast in Colin Farrell and Toni Collette, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog.

The film will follow the same premise of its original and focuses on teen Charley Brewster (played by Anton Yelchin), who is convinced that the new seemingly cool guy that has moved in next door is actually a vampire, though no one believes him.

Farrell will be playing that new next door neighbor, a vampire by the name of Jerry Dandridge (played by Chris Sarandon in the original). Collette will play Charley’s mom, who doesn’t believe her son and falls under Jerry’s hypnotic spell.

Craig Gillespie, who has worked with Collette on Showtime’s Emmy Award winning series, The United States of Tara, will be directing the new Fright Night remake from a script by Marti Noxon (TV’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer).  No word on who will be playing the role of Peter Vincent yet, but that news is will be coming soon.  Stay tuned…
