DreamWorks Animation’ The Boss Baby grabbed an estimated $49 million during its debut weekend. The film did better than expected managing to edge out Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, which collected another $47.5 million during its third weekend as it domestic gross rose to $395.5 million.
The success of The Boss Baby is due more to the failings of Ghost in the Shell to find and audience and the aging out of other releases than to its poor story and irritating voice acting.
