Despite a weak story, bad acting, and horrible reviews, Star Trek Intro Darkness topped the box office. The J.J. Abrams remake of the Star Trek franchise failed to hit the predicted $100 million opening, but did more than enough business to top Iron Man 3 in its third week of release. Iron Man 3 brought in $55 million in its third weekend of release, compared to Star Trek’s 70 million for its debut weekend.
