Tonner Unveils A Figure That Won’t Shoot Your Eye Out

A Christmas StoryTonner Doll Company, an award-winning designer and manufacturer of high-end collectible dolls and figures, has partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP), to release a Ralphie Character Figure® based on the 1983 American comedy, A Christmas Story. The film, based on the short stories and semi-fictional anecdotes of Jean Shepard, including In God We Trust and All Others Pay Cash, has become a beloved holiday staple, even being selected for preservation by the Library of Congress in 2012.

“I am a huge fan of this movie, and of the Ralphie character himself,” said Robert Tonner, doll artist and company CEO. “Getting the opportunity to work with WBCP and on this project has been like working with an old friend.”

Sculpted in the likenesses of Peter Billingsly, fans of A Christmas Story and collectors everywhere can take home their very own Ralphie – BB gun included. “Careful… you’ll shoot your eye out!”

“Watching A Christmas Story has become a beloved tradition in many households during the holiday season,” said Karen McTier, executive vice president of Worldwide Marketing and Domestic Licensing at Warner Bros. Worldwide Consumer Products. “By partnering with Tonner Doll, fans of this classic film will now be able to welcome their favorite character into the home for the holidays.”

The Ralphie Character Figure® reflects Tonner’s rigorous standards for quality, and includes hand painted facial features, authentic costuming from the film, and multiple points of articulation for dynamic posing. Ralphie also comes with a stand for easy display.

Tonner’s Ralphie stands 12″ tall and is dressed in his red plaid cotton shirt, oatmeal knit sweater, brown corduroys, white socks and brown boots. This impeccable figure includes Ralphie’s signature spectacles and, of course, his beloved BB gun. Collectors and fans of the classic film can pre-order the Ralphie Character Figure® now on www.tonnerdoll.com .

Ranked the #1 Christmas movie of all time by AOL in 2007¹ and more recently the #1 favorite holiday movie in the U.S. by a Marist Poll in 2012², A Christmas Story is iconic, historic and inescapable during the holiday season.
