Thing Prequel Shoots In March

The ThingLooks like Universal is going through with a prequel to John Carpenter’s 1982 remake of The Thing. According to Production Weekly, shooting will begin filming in March and continue through June in Toronto.
The prequel will be directed by Matthijs van Heijningen, Jr., with a script from Ronald D. Moore (TV’s Battlestar Galactica) and Eric Heisserer (the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street). The plot centers on the creature attacking a Norwegian camp who finds the alien ship crashed into the ice.
