Oscar® winner Benicio Del Toro stars as Lawrence Talbot, an aristocratic Englishman who returns to his family estate after the mysterious death of his brother. Under the light of the full moon, Talbot is attacked by a terrifying beast and discovers his horrifying destiny. Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins plays Talbot’s estranged father and Golden Globe winner Emily Blunt is his late brother’s distraught fiancee in a lush nightmare that will terrify a new generation.

Academy Award® winners Anthony Hopkins and Benicio Del Toro star in The Wolfman, a stunning re-imagining of the Universal Pictures thriller classic, coming to Blu-ray, DVD and digital download on June 1, 2010 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Both the Blu-ray and DVD releases of The Wolfman will contain two versions of the movie – the thrilling, never-before-seen unrated director’s cut, as well as the theatrical version of the film. The Wolfman will also be available day and date on video on demand.

As part of a groundbreaking offer, The Wolfman Blu-ray(TM) will give purchasers an exclusive opportunity to stream the original 1941 The Wolf Man starring Lon Chaney, Jr. three ways via BD-Live(TM), pocket BLU app and www.UniversalHiDef.com. A visceral, visually stunning 21st century tribute to Universal Studio’s 1941 chiller, The Wolfman pays homage to the studio’s unmatched legacy of classic monster films, which includes the timeless 1931 thrillers Frankenstein and Dracula. The all-star cast includes Academy Award winner Anthony Hopkins (Hannibal, The Silence of the Lambs), Academy Award winner Benicio Del Toro (Traffic, Sin City), Emily Blunt (The Young Victoria, The Devil Wears Prada) and Hugo Weaving (The Lord of the Rings, the Matrix trilogy).


The Wolfman on Blu-ray and DVD includes both the unrated and rated versions of the movie plus deleted and extended scenes.
