A few weeks back, we reported here that Sam Raimi was in the midst of getting 1930’s pulp fiction’s The Shadow to the big screen. There was speculation that he would direct the film, before properly getting started on Warcraft. Now, according to the Latin review, it looks as though Raimi will only produce the film, with 20th Century Fox picking up the film.
In addition, it looks as though Fox might tap David Slade (30 days of Night) to direct. His latest directorial effort is The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and is almost guaranteed to have a colossal hit on his hands when it is released in June. Given he also made the film Hard Candy, might be just the man who can make the bad taste of 1994’s Alec Baldwin’s Shadow finally go away.
