To the joy of Star Trek fans everywhere, Paramount announced that as the date for the theatrical release of the next film the Star Trek franchise.
Other than that Trek news though, nothing else is set. Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto (along with Zoe Saldana and the rest of the cast) are expected back, but there is no word on who (or what) will be the bad guy(s) in the upcoming flick.
After bravely directing the remake of the Star Trek franchise to box office gold, J.J. Abrams wants to direct number two, but there is no official word on who will direct yet. Abrams will be back as a producer on the upcoming film.
In other Paramount news… the studio has confirmed that GI Joe 2 has been green-lit…. meh.
