Fans have been exploring the galaxy with the one and only Space Ghost, in his new comic book series published by Dynamite Entertainment in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. As the holidays season approaches, fans can be thankful for a new stretch of stories that kick off this November in Space Ghost #7.
The first six issues of the series are a blast, bringing in fans and introducing (or re-introducing) the world of Space Ghost to readers. Dynamite will also be releasing a collection of that first story arc, also set to release in November alongside the beginning of the new arc. Writer David Pepose (Punisher, Savage Avengers) and artist Jonathan Lau (Green Hornet, Vampirella/Dejah Thoris) are cooking up even more exciting developments!
“The intergalactic adventures are only just beginning in the pages of Space Ghost!” said series writer David Pepose. “While Space Ghost, Jan, Jace, and Blip have strengthened their bonds as cosmic crimefighters, the threat of Robo Corp still lingers throughout the galaxy. With new and returning villains lurking in the shadows, Space Ghost and his sidekicks will need to trust each other like never before… or else it may spell doom for the universe!”
In issue #7, human heroes of Space Ghost have suddenly found themselves trapped on a mysterious planet covered in jungle. Space Ghost and company will be faced with the fearsome Creature King, a being who commands a host of beasts to carry out his nefarious bidding. All eyes will turn to the most unexpected hero to save the day, as Jan and Jace’s pet monkey Blip could be the key to defeating The Creature King and surviving to tell the tale!
This is just the first installment in a new set of boundless adventures from the phenomenally successful series. With the original classic animation’s blueprint and the all-star creative team pouring their passion into the project, there are so many stories to be told in the world of Space Ghost.
In the second half-year of the acclaimed series, fans will also get to witness a tussle with Metallus, the dark alternate universe vision of our hero known as the Space Spectre, and a thrilling three-parter against the Council of Doom!
In addition to Lau’s jaw-dropping interior artwork, Space Ghost continues with its awe-inspiring set of variant covers for fans to choose from or collect. Francesco Mattina, Jae Lee, and Bjorn Barends are now joined by Anthony Marques. The renaissance man has a stacked resume as the headmaster of The Kubert School for training comic book artists, former editor at Dynamite and DC Comics, comics retailer, and of course a brilliant artist with a signature style that perfectly fits Space Ghost.
