Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin Get Comic Treatment

Rock n Roll Comics“Rock ‘N’ Roll Comics”, was a popular staple on the newsstands in the 90’s. Now the title will be receiving an encore as newly packaged graphic novels through Bluewater Productions in partnership with the original creators Revolutionary Comics.

“Great ideas, like the marriage of rock ‘n’ roll and comics, have the half-life of uranium and will always be popular,” says Jay Allen Sanford of Revolutionary Comics.

“Pink Floyd Experience” is in stores now while the “Led Zeppelin” graphic novel is in stores in late November.

As showcased in Pink Floyd’s own official CD box set Shine On, the “Pink Floyd Experience” graphic novel chronicle rock’s most enigmatic psychedelic warriors, from their early days with stoner icon Syd Barrett, through their split and later reformation. Art and story by Ken Landgraf, Spike Steffenhagen (Children of the Grave), Jay Allen Sanford (Overheard in San Diego), and more, the collection also includes update material, bringing the saga up to 2010.

The Led Zeppelin saga is one of the wildest in rock history, and this graphic novel pulls no punches in dramatizing the backstage, behind-the-scenes story. From their early days as the New Yardbirds on through their rise to superstardom (and controversy), all five issues of the original Rock ‘N’ Roll Comics series are collected in one rockin’ volume, with art by Scott Pentzer (Razor), Marshall Ross (Deepest Dimension), David Neer (Sports Superstars), Francois Escalmel (Frank Zappa: Viva La Bizarre), and others.

The suggested retail price (SRP) for the upcoming graphic novels is $17.99. To make sure you get your copy, contact your bookstore to order it. The graphic novels will also be on Amazon.

Upcoming titles from the Rock ‘N’ Roll Comics graphic novels feature Elvis, The ’60s, and The ’70s.
