The cast for the remake of Fright Night is now complete, with British actress Imogene Poots (28 Weeks Later…) rounding it out , according to the Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog.
Poots will play Charley Brewster’s (Anton Yelchin) girlfriend who is part of the popular crowd and has no idea of Charley’s nerdy past. The film revolves around Charley who convinces a Las Vegas magician and so-called vampire expert, Peter Vincent (to be played by David Tennant) to help him when Charley thinks his new next door neighbor (Colin Farrell) is a vampire. Toni Collette plays Charley’s mom, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Kick-Ass) play Charley’s best friend, Evil Ed.
The new version of Fright Night being directed by Craig Gillespie, from a script by Marti Noxon (TV’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer). The film will shoot this summer in New Mexico. No word yet on a release date.
