Kevin Spacey’s Trigger Street productions, along with Michael De Luca and Jason Netter have just signed on to produce and finance a big screen adaptation of Garth Ennis’ zombie horror comic Crossed, according to Variety.
Crossed focuses on the survivors of a zombie-like plague that causes the infected to develop a cross-like rash across their faces. Those infected carry out their most evil desires – like murder and rape. The initial series was published by Avatar Press in 2008 with Garth Ennis writing and Jacen Burrows on as artist. A new series titled Crossed: Family Values is currently in the works with David Lapham writing and Javier Barreno on as artist. Ennis himself has penned screenplay, which is being shown to potential directors.
Dana Brunetti of Trigger Street will oversee Crossed as it looks for financing while Michael De Luca will produce through his Sony-based company, and Jason Netter producing through Kickstart Comic Art Studios.
